Does fluttering in the stomach mean your pregnant, or are there other causes?

I had my period and it was very heavy (as usual), but it only lasted 2-3 days when it usually lasts 6. Could that have actually been spotting or implation bleeding? And can this fluttering feeling I have been having in my stomach indicate pregnancy, or could there be another explanation?
